About Us
Our Humble Beginnings
Steinbrook Historical Research and Consulting began in 2020 as a small, client-centered practice, later expanding in 2023 to provide high-quality archival, genealogical, and preservation services with care and integrity.
Our Services
What began with one full-time and one part-time researcher offering genealogical services from a rented office has grown to include archival record procurement, document authentication, and preservation and storage solutions. Today, our team supports clients by tracing ancestry and safeguarding materials such as books, manuscripts, photographs, and records through archival best practices and careful conservation.
We are not a legal firm, but we can assist clients in the retrieval of historical records that may support official processes where specialized archival research expertise is required. However, we do not provide legal advice.
Our Team
With complementary expertise in archival and genealogical inquiry and preservation, our small team delivers results that are both accurate and meaningful. Above all, our commitment is to support client goals with trustworthy solutions that honor the past and protect it for the future.
How We Work
Personalized Approach
Steinbrook is a small, dedicated team rather than a large firm managing hundreds of cases at once. This allows us to work closely with each client, giving every project the individual attention it deserves. Our size reflects our commitment to selecting cases where we can make a genuine impact.
Clear Process
If you’re interested in working with us, we invite you to visit our Contact page. Share your project details—photos and background information are always welcome—and if we believe we’re the right fit for your needs, we’ll respond within five business days to arrange a consultation.
People-Centered Values
Should we determine that another firm would be better suited to your needs, we will provide referrals. Our people-centered approach is always at the forefront of everything we do.
Integrity, Accuracy, and Respect
We hold ourselves to the highest standards of honesty, precision, and care. Integrity means ethical practices, accuracy ensures every record and report can be trusted, and respect for culture means treating histories, materials, and client stories with the dignity they deserve.

We place our clients at the center of every project, tailoring research and preservation services to their individual goals.
