Custom Archival Enclosures
(Client Project, 2021)
This complete set of custom archival enclosures was created for a client’s collection of antiquated medical books. Each enclosure was tailored to the precise dimensions of its volume, ensuring a secure fit that minimizes handling stress. Made from breathable, archival-quality materials, the boxes protect against light, dust, and pests while also buffering fluctuations in temperature and humidity—safeguarding the long-term preservation of this fragile and historically significant collection.

Restoration of a Late 18th-Century Book
(Client Project, 2024)
This late 18th-century book arrived with detached signatures, loose pages, and heavy wear to the spine and cover corners. The book was carefully disassembled, its page sections re-sewn to secure them in place, and rebound in period-appropriate leather. The restoration preserves both the book’s historical character and its usability.

Family History (Client Project, 2022)
A client presented us a rich collection of family photos, heirlooms, and notes but was unsure how they fit together into a coherent story. Through a detailed inventory of these items and targeted archival research, we identified gaps, clarified timelines, and contextualized her materials. What began as scattered fragments was transformed into a vivid, cohesive family story that could be shared with future generations.

19th-Century Manuscript Repair and Translation (Team Showcase, 2023)
This fragile 19th-century German manuscript underwent remedial conservation and translation as part of a team showcase project. Ultra-thin Japanese tissue, toned with archival-safe pigment, was applied to stabilize the paper and preserve its legibility. After the repairs, the manuscript was translated by a member of our research team specializing in German language research, illustrating how our services can overlap to meet a variety of applications and objectives.
